      The latestin Telgemeiers pictorial version of Ann M. MartinsBaby-sitters Clubseries is even better than its predecessor, Kristys Great Idea (2006).Still focusing on real-lifeconcerns, this volumezeroes in on Mary Anne, 12, who sheds her shy persona, makes a new friend, and convinces her strict father to ease upbut only after a fight among the club membersthreatens todestroy the group. The dialogue is crisp and spot on, as are Telgemeiers black-and-white cartoons.
